Keith Burns is an award winning photographer and avid world traveler. His passion for photography started at an early age with a summer school photography class in middle school where he made his first box pinhole camera. Ever since then, he has always viewed the world a bit differently; not just observing what was in front of him, but wondering how he could share what he was seeing with the rest of the world.

He spent a large portion of his adult life away from the lens, but had his passion reignited when given a Nikon D70 from his father-in-law in 2007. Ever since then, his outlook of the world around him has been through a viewfinder. From the remote islands of the Galapagos, the airfields of Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, NC, the inside passage of Alaska, Magdalena Bay in Baja California Sur, to his own backyard in Richmond, VA, Keith has spent years capturing the wonders of nature with the hopes that his passion and appreciation for the world that will inspire others to see, appreciate, interact with, and help protect, all that is around them.

My Camera Bag

  • It all began with a hand me down Nikon D70 from my father-in-law. It was a tried and true camera that got me some fantastic shots. But when we scheduled my bucket list trip to the Galápagos Islands, I knew it would not suffice.
